About Us - What is Celebrate Casey Kids 5 -12?

Celebrate Casey Kids 5 to 12 is a community group of Casey primary school staff, parents, community workers and service providers.

CCK 5 -12 was established in late 2006 by the City of Casey ’s Primary Years Support Officer following a community consultation about the support needs of primary school aged children and their families.

Members adopted the name Celebrate Casey Kids 5 -12 and clarified a Vision, “ To Value the importance of the primary school years, and to explore the ways of contributing to the experience and wellbeing of primary aged children in Casey.”

The purpose of the CCK community partnership today, is one which seeks to focus on shared issues in the crucial primary years, to contribute to children’s personal development experiences, to link with schools, and to respond to the interests of primary school communities, acknowledging the diversity of schools within Casey.

CCK 5 to 12 continues to develop and sustain strong links between organisations and schools in working together. We have over 30 schools and community organisations on our mailing list. Parents who have an interest in the concept of CCK 5 to 12 are warmly welcomed, noting the importance of family engagement to such a network.

CCK continues to evolve and to grow as any network needs to in order to sustain itself and remain relevant to current times.
