The additional toy library room is now finished. Thank you to the City of Casey for providing the toy library with this room and for carrying out the required repairs to the room.

The original room has also been improved with two new shelving units. These have been paid from a grant through the City of Casey. The new units provide much needed space to the room making it easier to gain access to the toys.

 

The toy library has recently purchases and child gate that will be positioned in the hall way. This is to ensure the safety off all children using the toy library as we have had a number of children escape out to the busy car park with one almost hit by a car. When using the toy library PLEASE ensure the child gate is closed behind you after use. We don’t want anyone hurt.   

 

This Christmas we will carry out a full stock take of all toy library toys. This will allow us to sort out all the odd toys and incorrect bag details before next year and buy new toys.

It is important that all members return all toys during out last opening for the year in December. Please check dates below.

Last year a number of members failed to return toys by these dates. If you think you will experience a problem please call Luke on 0403 375 925 as failing to do so may result in membership suspension.

 

The next toy library committee and general meeting will be held on Tuesday the 15th November at 8pm at the toy library. All members contributions are valued and hope you can attend.

The toy library is run by volunteer members such as you self. As per you membership application it is a requirement to help twice a year with openings or fundraising events. We have not asked for much help during 2011 and this has impacted the ability for the toy library to operate as well as it could. The rosters for helping during 2012 are now at the borrowing desk so please fill it in. Your help is needed. Thank you.
