The Township Association Inc is made up of a large network of local workers and residents who care about Doveton and Eumemmerring working together to create positive change in this community.

RESIDENTS have joined with workers from other local organizations and government to decide on and implement positive changes for this community.  

 
OUR OBJECTIVE
 
To bring residents, businesses, community groups, service providers and government together to work towards creating a more prosperous, safe and healthy community.
 
  YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF US AND NOT KNOWN IT!

In the past 6 years we have:

  • Supported local job services to assist in providing job outcomes
  • Assisted local providers to run training courses for residents
  • Assisted residents with the running of Australia Day events
  • Supported residents' monthly Open Mic Nights
  • Established the 3177 News (Our local newsletter)
  • Assisted with the running of the Doveton Show at Myuna Farm
  • Been involved in many upgrades to public housing properties
  • Funded the building of the Linden Place children's playground
  • Supported the development and running of the Doveton Garden competition
  • Conducted bi-annual Community Surveys - to enable residents to communicate their thoughts about the community and what improvements they feel are needed
  • Worked with local families to prepare for the closure of Dandenong High School's Doveton Campus
  • Produced the Casey Untitled CD

WHAT ELSE IS PLANNED

  Over the next couple of years we will

 

  • Continue to support resident led activity
  • Continue to improve public housing properties
  • Provide local residents with training and education opportunities
  • Continue to work on improvements to Autumn Place and Linden Place 
  • Promote cultural diversity through cultural dance and music performances at events.  

          We need your support to help make things happen.
