The Doveton Eumemmerring Township Committee, with support from Doveton Eumemmerring Neighbourhood Renewal, has put together the "Draft Doveton Eumemmerring Township Plan 2011 – 2014".

The plan aims to cover areas that locals have told us are of priority and importance to them.

Two important community consultation forums will be held for residents to have their say in helping shape the future of their community through this plan.

Would you like to be more active in the Doveton Eumemmerring Community? If you live, work or meet in Doveton Eumemmerring you could consider joining the Township Committee.

The Township Committee (TC) is a network of people involved in the Doveton Eumemmerring area who meet to discuss opportunities and issues and to provide input into what is happening in the local community. TC is a way for people who live, work or meet in the community to support the Doveton Eumemmerring Neighbourhood Renewal (DENR) initiative by responding to local issues and opportunities.

Local residents work with the DENR team, community groups, services, businesses and government to identify and develop strategies to address local issues and create positive change in the community.

Key focuses include:

housing and the physical environment
crime and safety
health and wellbeing
education, employment and economic activity

Key objectives include:

strengthening local capacity
skills and leadership
pride and participation in the community
increased access to services

The Township Committee meets on a monthly basis, generally first Monday of the month.

A broad range of groups and individuals are invited to participate in meetings.

We would welcome your involvement at any of these meetings.
