EmailThe Endeavour Hills Cricket Club was formed in 1977 as a combined junior cricket and football club with 1 (one) team affiliated with the Berwick Pakenham District Cricket Association.
The following year the club became an entity in its own right and fielded 2 senior and 2 junior teams. The club was based at the Shire of Berwick owned Charles Green Reserve in James Cook Drive Endeavour Hills with a tin shed as its clubrooms.
In 1982 the council completed work on the new change room and multi purpose facility for use by both the cricket and football clubs.
By this time the club decided to leave the West Gippsland Cricket Association as it was now known for the closer Dandenong District Cricket Association. During its first year in the association the club fielded 4 senior and 6 junior teams.
The first two turf grounds were officially opened in October 1986 at the now known Sydney Pargeter Reserve with the other two grounds completed for the start of the 1987/88 season. Success came the clubs way in 1994/95 season when it won its first turf premiership.
The Club continued to grow in the 1990's and by the 1997/98 season the club was using 6 different grounds for its 6 senior and 12 junior teams.
The club permanently moved in Sydney Pargeter Reserve during this time and at the same time enquiries were made by the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association to see if the Endeavour Hills Cricket Club would be interested in putting forward a submission to join the competition to replace Camberwell. Despite sceptics' in some quarters the club made a submission to the VSDCA and was accepted into the competition at the April 1998 meeting and will complete their 10th season in the VSDCA during the Centenary Year.
The club continued to grow post admission to the VSDCA and in the 2001/2002 season fielded no less than 9 senior and 15 junior teams. Whilst the numbers of teams are not at those levels today the club still continues to have good membership.
