ABOUT US

The Community House originally began life in Hayes Road, Hampton Park, and moved to it's present location in late 1987, opening to the people of Hampton Park in January 1988.
The new House was made possible by the help of the Ministry of Housing, the Shire of Cranbourne, the Committee of Management and the people of Hampton Park, who have supported the programs offered by the House since 1978.
Our House logo (above) has changed over time but still is a representation of the House and the caring that is extended to all the people of our local community.

The House offers a variety of programs which are aimed at meeting the needs of the local community; these programs include Pre-Kinder/Playgroup, Crafts, Out of School Hours Care, Adult Education and Childcare. We also offer a Family Support service which provides counselling, home support and group work for families with children 0 -18 years of age.

The House also encourages outreach services to operate from our facility bringing a wealth of information and support to our residents.
The House is managed by a Committee of Management who receive funds from the Department of Human Services, Adult Community and Further Education, the City of Casey and from the programs operated, these funds are spent on overall operations of the House.

The House however, could not function without our volunteer helpers who supplement our staff e.g. receptionists, Playgroup/Pre-Kinder leaders. The House Manager in conjunction with the area Co-Ordinators and the limits of our funding, is responsible for the programs offered by the Community House.
